Un bon souper et un film.

Aujourd’hui, c’est du 2 en 1 (oui oui 😏).
Je vous parle de ma journée du 28 novembre 2025!

Je suis allé souper chez Olive et Basil, et franchement? Super expérience!
Malgré la température de cul, les serveuses — belles et super sympas — m’ont servi de façon très professionnelle et chaleureuse. De quoi faire oublier la température de m***e qu’il faisait dehors 😅

Oui, encore une fois, c’est plus cher qu’un McDo…
Mais hey! Regardez les photos et dites-moi après si vous préférez encore un vieux McDo tout triste:

Ensuite : le film Running Man.

Je suis allé voir la reprise du film de 1987 (que je n’ai pas vue) inspirée du roman à succès de Stephen King — celui-là, par contre, je l’ai lu!

Et franchement? Je trouve les critiques beaucoup trop dures.
Moi, j’ai trouvé le film excellent sur plusieurs points :

1. Un casting rafraîchissant!
Des visages qu’on ne voit pas partout, et ça fait du bien! Oui, il y a quelques têtes connues, mais rien d’envahissant.

2. Un équilibre parfait entre action et humour — façon Deadpool.
et franchement, de l’humour noir dans un film, bordel, ça me manquait!
Et bon, pas de Schwarzenegger cette fois, mais il y a un clin d’œil bien placé à l’acteur… je vous laisse le trouver.

Alors oui, on est rapidement plongé dans l’action et on a un peu de mal à s’attacher aux personnages, mais justement :
c’est un point négatif intéressant.
Le film dure 2h13, et le fil rouge est clair dès le début — ensuite, c’est de l’action pure et dure avec une bonne dose d’humour trash.

Pour toutes ces raisons, je lui donne un énorme 9.5/10
Et parmi tous les films inspirés de Stephen King, celui-là mérite un gros 10/10!

Today we’ve got a 2-in-1 (oh yeah 😏).
Let me tell you about my day on November 28, 2025!

I went out for dinner at Olive & Basil, and honestly? Amazing experience!
Despite the crappy weather, the waitresses — gorgeous and super friendly — served me with real professionalism and warmth. Enough to make you forget the shi**y weather outside 😅

Yeah, once again, it’s pricier than McDonald’s…
But hey! Look at the photos and tell me afterward if you’d still rather eat at a sad old McDo:

Then: The Running Man.

I went to see the 1987 remake (which I hadn’t seen before) inspired by Stephen King’s bestselling novel — that one, though, I did read!

And honestly? I think the critics are being way too harsh.
I actually thought the movie was excellent in many ways:

1. A refreshing cast!
   Faces you don’t see everywhere — and that’s great! Sure, a few familiar ones, but nothing overbearing.

2. The perfect balance between action and humor — kind of like Deadpool.
   And honestly, damn, I missed that kind of dark humor in movies!
   No Schwarzenegger this time, but there’s a well-placed nod to him… I’ll let you find it yourself.

So yeah, you get thrown into the action really fast and it’s a bit hard to connect with the characters — but that’s actually an interesting flaw.
The movie runs 2h13, the main plot is clear from the start, and from there it’s pure, raw action with a nice dose of dark humor.

For all those reasons, I’m giving it a huge 9.5/10!
And among all Stephen King movie adaptations, this one easily deserves a solid 10/10!
